The directly buried type corrugated compensator(TZM)/ Lateral Expansion Compensator has the ability to resist bending, and has the ability to compensate the lateral displacement and the combined axial and lateral displacement. However, because the compensation amount is small, it has better characteristics, longer service life and safe and reliable application when used as axial compensation.

Directly buried corrugated compensator is mainly suitable for axial compensation. Compared with other specifications of corrugated compensator, directly buried corrugated compensator can realize free expansion compensation under the protection of compensator shell and guide sleeve.

Installation Precautions:

1. In order to make the direct-buried compensator have a compensation effect, fixed brackets are set at both ends of the compensator to prevent the pipeline from being moved and stretched by the internal pressure and thrust. 

2. One end of the compensator (refers to the dead end of the direct-buried compensator for one-way compensation) should be close to the fixed support at one end, and the pipeline is compensated with the movable head of the direct-buried corrugated compensator.

3. Set the distance between the two fixed brackets according to the compensation amount. The compensation amount is generally not greater than the pipe diameter.

4. During the pressure test, the compensator must not show the appearance of stretching.
